19.05.10 Michael Kvium in group exhibition 'Shades of Black ' at Ordrupgaard 22.05 - 29.08.10
Throughout the summer of 2010 Ordrupgaard will present the exhibition Shades of Black with Martin Bigum • Preben Fjederholt • Thomas Kluge • Michael Kvium • Peter Martensen • Ulrik Møller • Odd Nerdrum • Balder Olrik.
For the first time, these eight significant artists are presented in a joint exhibition, shedding light on an overlooked current in contemporary art. The singular artists share the commonality of, in nuances of black, depicting the great classical themes of art: Death, time and history from a contemporary point of view.
Shades of Black has been created in a cooperative effort between Ordrupgaard, Vejle Kunstmuseum and art historian Merete Sanderhoff. The exhibition will subsequently be presented at Vejle Kunstmuseum.
15.05.10 Ai Weiwei's mermaid exhange
As part of the “Mermaid Exchange” Ai Weiwei’s work “Remote” utilizes modern surveillance technique and the WWW to recreate the image of the missing icon on a LED-screen erected in the little Mermaids' original position in Langelinie/Denmark.
The video transmission is non-stop and in realtime for the full duration of this exhibition.

26.02.10 Erik A. Frandsen udsmykning af Frederik VIII\'S Palæ, Amalienborg
Frederik 8.s Palæ er i de sidste 5 år blevet gennemgribende istandsat. Palæet skal danne ramme om Kronprinsparrets private bolig samt administrative og repræsentative funktioner.
Inden Kronprinsparret flytter ind i palæet, åbner Slots- og Ejendomsstyrelsen fra 27. februar til 8. august palæet for offentligheden. Publikum kan opleve resultaterne af istandsættelsen og restaureringen af palæets elegante interiører fra senempirens tid i 1800-tallet. Der vil også blive lejlighed til at se de nye kunstværker, som Realdania har finansieret. Kunstværkerne er skabt specielt til palæet af aktuelle samtidskunstnere: Olafur Eliasson, Signe Guttormsen, Morten Schelde, John Kørner, Eske Kath, Kathrine Ærtebjerg, Kasper Bonnén, Tal R, Erik A. Frandsen og Jesper Christiansen.
Åbningen vil omfatte stue- og beletage, der er palæets to hovedetager, og som i fremtiden vil blive brugt repræsentativt.

27.01.09 Christian Lemmerz 'Largo' at The Danish National Gallery
There is a critical meeting between the present day and classical education and romantic wit in the works of the German-born Danish sculptor Christian Lemmerz (b. 1959). As in its musical namesake, LARGO demands a slow tempo as the underlying rhythm when the body is confronted by the long stretch between birth and death. The installation, which consists of completely new works in bronze, has been specially created for the Museum’s venue.
