At the center of this exhibition we encounter 'Library', a giant canvas where Nina Steen-Knudsen's continual involvement with the staged, perspectivistic and spacial complex landscape-painting touches new ground.
As with her previous exhibition 'The Landscape Later' at Glyptoteket 1999, Steen-Knudsen's involvement with themes such as time, space and history, in her paintings, is continued.
As the title 'Library' indicates, the emphasis of the painting is on literature. The exhibition consists of a number of paintings and drawings of smaller format, where Nina Steen-Knudsen's engagement with our cultural-historical background is thematisised.
