26.02.10 Erik A. Frandsen udsmykning af Frederik VIII\\\'S Palæ, Amalienborg
Frederik 8.s Palæ er i de sidste 5 år blevet gennemgribende istandsat. Palæet skal danne ramme om Kronprinsparrets private bolig samt administrative og repræsentative funktioner.
Inden Kronprinsparret flytter ind i palæet, åbner Slots- og Ejendomsstyrelsen fra 27. februar til 8. august palæet for offentligheden. Publikum kan opleve resultaterne af istandsættelsen og restaureringen af palæets elegante interiører fra senempirens tid i 1800-tallet. Der vil også blive lejlighed til at se de nye kunstværker, som Realdania har finansieret. Kunstværkerne er skabt specielt til palæet af aktuelle samtidskunstnere: Olafur Eliasson, Signe Guttormsen, Morten Schelde, John Kørner, Eske Kath, Kathrine Ærtebjerg, Kasper Bonnén, Tal R, Erik A. Frandsen og Jesper Christiansen.
Åbningen vil omfatte stue- og beletage, der er palæets to hovedetager, og som i fremtiden vil blive brugt repræsentativt.

Special Exhibition Gallery, 10 October 2008 – 11 January 2009
ARoS has for many years cherished a desire to mount a major retrospective exhibition of the work of the Danish artist Erik A. Frandsen (b. 1957). This exhibition in ARoS has been conceived as a total installation, staging and working through the overall entire in close cooperation with the artist. With an innovative curatorial approach, ARoS seeks to open up for the many complex meanings that are embedded in Erik A. Frandsen’s many-facetted work from 1982-2008.
11.04.07 The Real. Unnaturalism. Erik A. Frandsen-New Works
Venetian mosaic, highly-polished steel engraved with flowers, and wooden panels covered in a glossy varnish in a wide variety of colours are some of the elements featured in Erik A. Frandsen’s coming exhibition. A series of completely new works specially created for the museum will go on show in the spring and summer at the Glyptotek.
The exhibition The Real. Unnaturalism is a new departure and has been specially devised for the Glyptotek. Frandsen combines modern art with ancient traditions in applied arts, in a dialogue with the museum’s permanent collection of Roman sculpture. The exhibition is being held in three of the rooms of the Glyptotek’s Collection of Ancient Art and involves three types of artistic expression: mosaic, painted wood and steel.
